About: This piece has been included in my portfolio because photojournalism is a progressive lifestyle, and it is a huge passion of mine. With the changes in media nowadays photojournalism is not actually a suffering profession, it is actually more crucial than ever- this is why.
About: This piece has been included in my portfolio because it chronicles an understanding of the court cases that essentially govern a school-sponsored paper. It gives rise to the threats we face as student journalists, and the protections we have. This is a key understanding each staff needs to have, in regards to being able to defend their freedom of speech.

As a leader, it is my responsibility to oversee this process, assure it is running smoothly, and make sure our staff properly uses AP style, and the guidelines given to them by The Radical Write.

About: This piece has been included in my portfolio because although journalism is my academic strong suit, extracurricular artwork (painting and photography) is a huge and essential piece of my life. Balancing the two has been difficult, however I still find that the two go hand-in-hand when considering my creative processes.

Not that I earned all the funds, but I assisted my editors in becoming successful in advertising sales as well. Nervousness was a huge roadblock with this years staff- this is how I eased it.

By having training sessions with my editors I have been very successful in slimming the amount of errors within our online publication and creating a stress-free environment for the editors.

The absence of a visual means the absence of a clear, truthful take on a story. Throughout this year I have worked hard with my staff to get a consistent flow of images, and our production has been increasingly smoother.
